Add a new user

This article describes the process of creating a new user.

Workflow

The following outlines all steps that will take place when creating a new user.

  • [existing user] Create a new user in MMS.
  • [new user] New user receives a welcome email.
  • [new user] New user creates a password.
  • [new user] New user signs into a RAS application for the first time.
  • [new user] If required, the new user is prompted to set up MFA.

Create a new user

Follow these steps to create a new user:

  1. Log into MMS.
  2. Visit the Users model.
  3. Click the Create a new user button.
  4. Fill out all required form fields (marked with an asterisk (*)).

    Double-check the email address is accurate as further setup steps require the new user receives an email address to verify ownership of the email address and to continue the setup process.

    Choose a limited number of groups, selecting only the specific groups required for this particular user.
  5. Click the Save button.

The user will now receive a welcome email with instructions on how to continue the process and create their password.
